This past weekend marked a major milestone for British Dance Academy as we successfully hosted our annual dance exams. Our talented students shone throughout the two days, showcasing their passion, hard work and dedication in various dance styles. It was a weekend filled with excitement, pride and incredible performances that we will remember for a long time.
Day 1 Exam Students
Day 1: Ballet Excellence and British Ballet Organisation Dance Exams
On Friday, our students began the exams with ballet, setting a high standard for the weekend. We were honoured to host the prestigious British Ballet Organisation (BBO) exams, with an esteemed examiner, Ms. Beverley, flying in all the way from the UK to examine our dancers. The atmosphere was filled with anticipation and our students delivered beautiful, graceful performances that highlighted their commitment to their talent.
Watching them perform ballet with such poise and skill was an absolute joy. Each movement was a testament to the hard work they had put in and we were bursting with pride as we witnessed their dedication come to life on stage.
Day 2 Exam Students
Day 2: A Celebration of Diverse Talents
Saturday brought even more excitement with a variety of dance styles being showcased. In addition to ballet, our students demonstrated their skills in musical theatre dance, acrodance and hip hop. This combination of styles truly highlighted the versatility and talent within British Dance Academy.
We continued with the British Ballet Organisation exams but the day took on an extra layer of energy as we conducted our internal BDA hip-hop exam. The contrast between the grace of ballet and the dynamic, high-energy hip hop routines made for an exciting day and the students didn’t disappoint. Their performances were vibrant and full of life, reflecting their hard work and passion for dance.
A Weekend to Remember
This year’s British Dance Academy exams were more than just an assessment of skills; they were a celebration of the dedication, talent and passion that define our dance community.
Whether performing ballet, musical theatre dance, acrodance or hip hop, each student gave their best and we couldn’t be more proud of their achievements.
